I’m Jess, founder of Hello Little One and co-founder of a mischievous toddler and a chilled baby.
I love supporting pregnant women and hearing from mums about their birth experiences. By informing and empowering women, I hope that all women can have a positive birth experience, however they give birth.
I trained with Katharine Graves Hypnobirthing – the only training course that’s accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I’ve also a birth buddy since 2014 for Tell Me a Good Birth Story, offering pregnant women peer support and answering their questions. I also won a prize for baking the best jam tarts at the Hardington Flower Show 1988.
Hypnobirthing for all births – the ethos behind my classes
I created Hello Little One to teach my own independent hypnobirthing course. I thought there was an opportunity to share all of the goodness of hypnobirthing in a more balanced and inclusive way so that it can truly support women however they give birth – natural births, inductions or caesareans.
Before I trained in hypnobirthing, I worked in brand and content for well-known organisations, such as Danone, Visa and the GOV.UK website. This means I’ve spent a lot of my life working out how to explain complicated things in a simple way. I bring this approach to my hypnobirthing teaching too – I use plain, everyday English and explain any jargon
